Member Organizations

Membership in the North Carolina Cannabis Association is unlike membership in most other organizations. That is, instead of offering membership to individuals, the NCCA has a number of member organizations. The NCCA is simply an umbrella organization under which it's member organizations operate.

Some member organizations are small grassroots efforts, perhaps assisted by the "So You Want to Form an Organization?" project. Others are large national or international organizations active in North Carolina. They may be political or apolitical, religious or secular, left or right, up or down. They, more than likely, do not share all the same positions on various cannabis issues, other than being opposed to it's total eradication.

The mission of the NCCA is to provide member organizations with a "commons" for use in their own projects and activities. In addition to displaying member organization profiles on this site, the NCCA may provide free web site design for member organizations. Most importantly, however, all NCCA member organizations have exclusive access to the CannabisNC.org calendar. This way, all cannabis supporters, defenders, and activists in North Carolina can enjoy the convenience of one central calendar for learning about and planning their cannabis activities.

Any organization that opposes the eradication of cannabis and instead acknowledges and/or advocates at least some legitimate role for cannabis in our society may become a member organization of the NCCA.

Realizing that some ONLY support the legalization of industrial hemp, and that others ONLY support the legalization of medical use, while still others support complete legalization, the NCCA holds no specific position on these or other cannabis issues. This is, of course, in the hopes that organizations with otherwise competing political or philosophical views may put aside their differences if only for the purpose of a more united effort to rid North Carolina of legislation aimed at cannabis eradication.

If you are an organizer or officer of an organization in North Carolina that opposes cannabis eradication and desire to join the North Carolina Cannabis Association as a member organization, please fill out a membership form.
